AR, Like Huey Lewis, I think it is hip to be square, but I'll be there anyway.

I would be a good marketing director for CPQ. First, I would stop saying lousy things about them in public. If they paid me in cash, not worthless stock options. <G> Also, I can witness that CPQ boxes hold together fairly well given the cheesy components they use, and, after 6 months, when they know longer work, make great doorstops. Heck, those guys on the net aren't giving away free regular doorstops, so Compaq boxes are a bargain. <G>

Could you explain to me why it took so many warnings and poor earnings reports to finally put a dent in the PC sector? Each issue has had it's recent dumps, but they are still trading at high levels overall. How long does it take for the herd to get the picture?

This CPQ shortfall is old news. Yes, we didn't know it would be so sh*tty, but we knew the sector was falling. What has kept all of these Pieces OS supported?
