I/NET, Inc. (OTC BB:INNI) today announced that Netscape Enterprise Server is immediately available from I/NET on IBM's AS/400e business computer. IBM AS/400 customers can now take advantage of Netscape Communications Corporation's high performance, highly scalable web server software for deploying large scale web sites. The new product combined the security, reliability and ease of use of the AS/400 with Netscape's enterprise-class performance, dynamic content creation and central administration features that businesses need to compete in the net' economy.

"We are exhilarated. Our developers have worked closely with their counterparts at Netscape (Nasdaq:NSCP) and IBM (NYSE:IBM) to bring this product to the AS/400 marketplace," said Stephen J. Markee, President and CEO of I/NET. "The architecture of the AS/400, which makes it the pre-eminent business computer for secure web serving, provides an excellent platform to deploy the Netscape Enterprise Server."

Under its licensing agreement with Netscape, I/NET, which also acquired distribution rights to this product, will offer Netscape Enterprise Server through IBM Industry Remarketers. An exclusive distribution agreement has been reached with IMS/Appsmall.com, a software marketing and distribution company, to coordinate this worldwide effort. IMS/Appsmall.com has offices in the United States and Europe with distributors around the world.

"Netscape Enterprise Server is highly scalable and reliable web server software that enables organizations to build mission-critical Internet sites that help transform their business from a traditional company with brick-and-mortar assets to an Internet business as company.com," said Maneesh Dhir, Vice President and General Manager of the Netscape Application Platform and Managed Content Division. "Netscape Enterprise Server combined with IBM's robust AS/400 platform extends Netscape's strong web server software leadership with enterprise-class performance, dynamic content and central administration features."

Netscape Enterprise Server was voted best of 1998 by PC Magazine and is being used by some of the largest e-commerce, Internet Service Providers (ISP) and portal Web sites on the Internet. According to Gartner Group's October 1998 survey of Web Server Usage on Public Web Sites, 66.8 percent of Fortune 100 public sites are running Netscape software, compared to Microsoft IIS at 16.8 percent and Apache at 9.4 percent.

"This announcement confirms to our customers and prospects that industry leading software vendors such as Netscape value the AS/400 as a significant player in the e-business marketplace," said Patrice Mitchell, Vice President Entry Server, IBM AS/400. "This agreement between I/NET and Netscape highlights the AS/400's competitiveness as a leading platform for e-business solutions for our customers and business partners."

"We are experiencing significant demand for this product from IBM Remarketers, because they see the demand from their customers and the opportunity to quickly meet the customer requirement to move their businesses in a secure and reliable way to the web," said Terry Bird, a Principal of IMS/Appsmall.com in North America. "We're excited about the opportunity it brings for our partners and our customers." Customers can learn more about Netscape for the AS/400 through their AS/400 Remarketer or through IMS/Appsmall.com's web site at www.appsmall.com.

"This announcement will be particularly pleasing to our customers and partners in Europe, and extends the return on their investment in the I/NET products, which have been so successful," said Tony Shearing, Managing Director of IMS/Appsmall.com in Europe. "Corporate customers with heterogeneous environments will appreciate the advanced level of interoperability afforded by this new product."

I/NET is a pioneer in developing AS/400 server software products, which allow AS/400 computers to function as Internet servers, provide encryption for secure financial transactions to occur over the Internet, and perform other Internet- or Intranet-related functions. The AS/400, recognized for its reliability and security, is the standard for back-office operating systems or servers. An estimated 600,000 AS/400s have been shipped worldwide, including installations at 98 percent of Fortune 100 companies.
