John,
There are, perhaps, 3 different kinds of banks in these United States.
One is the Huge multi-national or inter-state bank which has no interest in anything or anyone except where it attaches to "their" money.

A second is the small town bank in a currently depressed rural area, which simply may not have resources to solve the problem.

The third may be the local bank who is a strong vital part of a growing (or at least steady) community.

Problem is with all the takeovers which have people got now? This bank seems concerned about the "total body and soul of the community" as was the local bank in my home town.

I grew up 50 miles from "ground zero" during the Cuban Missile Crisis - Pantex, Amarrillo Tx. Our bank gave away hot dogs, hamburgers, Cokes, popcorn & chips to anyone who would do banking business "that worst day"
