Thanks for the CSCO Robin article, Steve.

IMO, CSCO will sell lots of this product because they are CSCO. It doesn't appear to be a superior product. The info is sketchy, but the speed, scalability, reliability of storage media is not clear. Clustering is not discussed, and throughput remains to be proven.

Meanwhile, caching technology is moving fast. For example, have a look at the new products coming from NetApp and WebSpective:

It appears that CSCO is targetting the corporate market, where NTAP is targetting service providers.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the end of that SCSI cable on Robin was attached to a NetApp filer?
