Another thought. It is hard to believe that Children's Hospital did not know about the problems Entremed and Bristol Myers were having. It also seems unlikely that Genzyme would have known.

The key question becomes whether Children's Hospital really licensed this "next generation" compound to GZMO becuse of Genzyme's capabilities as stated, or because they knew they could not get
any more upfront money out of the other group in view of the poor progress/results, and had to look around for some other (fill in a word).
