Don,

So what is required to confirm that the BULL is dead - a drop of 3000 points first.

No, but I do want to see a reversal close on the longer term trend. The one thing that I've learned since reading this thread is that there can be many different conclusions derived from looking at the same data. My interpertation of what is happening right now in the DOW is slightly different from many here. Despite the recent weakness on the avgs. I still see an UNRESOLVED battle between the bulls and the bears. The patterns on the charts are there and they have not, IMO, indicated that this bull is dead. However, we are much closer today to a final break one way or the other. I will go on record here to say that if we do push through the pattern thats developed I see the market heading into much higher territory.

You're comments about not chasing the bull or the bear makes perfect sense to me. Like I said yesterday, my calls here are only for the overall direction of the market and are not meant to catch all the ripples. Your analysis has proven to be very good at that. My hat goes off to you for making some very timely calls.

So let me just say, with the longer term trends still intact. And the fact that so many gurus on CNBC seem to be ahead of the curve on predicting this bear. I will wait awhile before passing judgement on this dying bull.

Good trading.
