Unisys to 'Pump up the Power' of PC DOCS/Fulcrum at PowerSummit '99
BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 1999--As part of its ongoing strategy to enhance its suite of repeatable solutions, Unisys Corporation has incorporated the power of PC DOCS/Fulcrum archiving and storage tools into the Unisys InfoImage solution.

Unisys line of InfoImage imaging and workflow solutions will be demonstrated at PowerSummit '99, February 14 through 17, at the Marriott Orlando (Fla.) World Center.

By enhancing the archiving and storage tools developed by PC DOCS/Fulcrum and including them in Unisys InfoImage, Unisys significantly improved the solutions it provides for document management across the enterprise, web-based document access, and desktop administration.

Subaru Awards Unisys $34 Million Contract, Renewing Information Technology Outsourcing Pact
BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 17, 1999--Unisys Corp. today announced that Subaru of America, Inc. has renewed its information technology outsourcing agreement with Unisys under a $34-million, five-year contract.

Unisys will provide a comprehensive range of services, including data center operations, data network operations, PC and laptop support, and help desk. The systems managed by Unisys will support Subaru of America's corporate headquarters in New Jersey, its regional sales offices and parts distribution centers, and Subaru's nearly 600 franchised dealers nationwide.

The contract, effective March 1, continues a seven-year relationship and is the result of a rigorous competition among leading information technology outsourcers.

''When selecting a company to manage Subaru's outsourcing needs, we considered which provider would most effectively and efficiently manage our systems infrastructure in alignment with our business strategies and goals,'' said Robert Dougherty, Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the $3 billion U.S. automobile marketer and distributor.''

It was extremely important that the selected service provider have the ability to support our continuing migration from mainframe to midrange platforms, as well as our data network and Internet Commerce initiatives. We chose Unisys because we believe they are well positioned to support these requirements and they are committed to our high availability service level requirements.''

As part of the agreement, the data center and network and help desk functions will be moved from the current Subaru-owned facility in Pennsauken, N.J., to the state-of-the-art Unisys center in Eagan, Minn. Upgraded data networks are being installed to ensure optimal response times and availability.
