OFF TOPIC

I'm currently reading a book so precisely written and profound that it showed me just how erratic my use of the language has been at times on these boards.

At one point last year, I distinctly remember using the term "goat herder" during the heat of a verbal battle with a person with a Middle Eastern-sounding name. Even though I was using that phrase during a time when I was in a no-scapegoat-herding-enforcer-mode on this board, I must apologize for stubbornly refusing to clarify that point early on and letting it linger up to now.

Back to linguistic refresher course,

Gus

P.S. You're welcome, SF.

Nice post, Gus. Fine insights.

Don't really care for McNealy or SUNW. Never bought in, but they have a role to play.

Take no credit for the list of "eligible bachelors" in the Internet space. Writing's on the wall for traditional media and telecom players. Add NWS to the list, too. The interesting thing is that there aren't many "first tier" Nettes for them to gobble up. I could easily see some sort of "participation" in AXC, or its Internet unit, by one of the giants.

Interesting content ideas, Gus.
