I am fine, thanks, and so is my family. My daughter made the honor roll in her first semester of high school, and is on the basketball team as well. I really like my job, and our family is planning a trip to Ireland in a few weeks. Are all of you doing okay as well? Doesn't your husband post once in awhile on the Ancor thread? I have been holding my shares for nearly three years now, and am hopeful but running out of patience. Something needs to happen very soon! About the gun issue, I do think it is true historically that some governments would not have been so repressive had their citizenry been armed. On the other hand, all of the countries on that list I posted which have way fewer gun deaths per capita due to stricter gun laws is anything but a western democracy with similar rights for its citizens as those Americans enjoy. It is true that the people who follow regulations are usually not the types to misuse a firearm, but I have also read many times that most guns used in crimes are stolen from their rightful owners during residential burglaries. So it seems to me that less guns all around would be a good idea. Also, even good citizens who would never intentionally plan a murder might be tempted to use lethal force in domestic arguments. The newspapers here are full of stories of people blowing their neighbors and family members away during arguments. If you have guns at home, be sure to use trigger locks, Nancy. Children have found guns and accidentally killed themselves even when the parents thought the weapons were very well hidden. I know my daughter is under strict instructions to let me know if she is EVER at a house where there are guns. I will come and get her right away because I believe there is a slight risk to her safety in such an environment.
