"News that a blowout at the East Lost Hills Bellevue #1 well has been "effectively killed" without the need for a relief well is boosting the stocks of companies with stakes in the well.... The fact that the relief well won't be needed will speed up exploration at the site by about a month, saving money. The relief well can now be drilled as a second exploration well."
