Ericsson agreement with Internet software developer OZ.COM

Ericsson enters into an agreement to develop IP communication technologies
with OZ.COM, a leading provider of scalable, real-time communications products
and solutions for the Internet and multimedia networks. The agreement, which
builds on a successful relationship between the companies, supports Ericsson's
overall Internet strategy to further embrace IP technologies that enhance its
core business in communications and mobility.

"This agreement with OZ enables Ericsson to further leverage its existing IP
telephony solutions and core strength as a network integrator. We will be
bringing out a wide variety of products and services that mean additional
revenue opportunities for new and existing operators," said Michael Thurk,
Executive Vice President and General Manager of Ericsson's Datacom Networks
and IP Services business unit.

The synergy of the two companies' product portfolios already has resulted in a
number of developments. One initiative is a communications portal with full-
fledged reliable and secure communication capabilities, including both
wireline and wireless Internet as well as telecom technologies. This is
accessed via easy-to-use, visual, user interfaces that enhance the
communication and messaging experience similar to the way clicking on icons
first improved the keystroke PC experience.

"Ericsson and OZ are developing new application technologies converging
services and providing much needed user focus to an increasingly fragmented
communications market. Our collaboration on ground-breaking applications, such
as Arena World for the Helsinki Arena 2000 project and the on-going
developments, clearly demonstrate the strength of the synergies between us,"

says Skuli Mogensen, CEO of OZ.COM.

Ericsson is the leading provider in the new telecoms world, with
communications solutions that combine telecom and datacom technologies with
freedom of mobility for the user. With more than 100,000 employees in 140
countries, Ericsson simplifies communications for its customers - network
operators, service providers, enterprises and consumers - the world over.
