An excerpt from Congressman Peterson's office, technologyfair.com "The Presidential Administration agrees that we must increase our level of commitment to clean, efficient technologies. So now is an optimal time for Congress to strive for development of alternative fuels that are renewable, safe for the environment, and will make America less dependent upon foreign nations," explained Peterson. He further explained that the only bi-product of hydrogen was clean water. The U.S. Department of Energy already operates a hydrogen research program, but that the program, according to Peterson, is under funded. "If the President is serious about his commitment to alternative fuels, I would encourage him to direct additional funds toward hydrogen, which has already proven to have feasible applications."
