What position does Falwell hold in the Repub party?

The proper question would be "What perception do moderate and swing voters have of Falwells influence on GOP policy making decisions?". And the answer will be made manifestly clear in the next election, IMO. It's not just Michelles California liberals who are turned off by anti-choicers and homophobes, and hypocrites like Hyde. By trying to impeach Clinton over sex, and despite all the spin, that's exactly what it is, the Republican Party has lost its way and screwed itself. I've posted before that that doesn't make me happy.
