Don't you understand that we are not all the Puritans of your nightmares? We understand about human frailty, because we are human. I have not done what Hyde did, but there have been occassions of strain in my marriage where "but for the grace of God"..., and so it is with most of us. But I still think that failing to maintain fidelity over the course of a long marriage is a far cry from compulsive womanizing, and that lying under oath is worse than casual lying, and that obstruction is a crime.

So what do the Democrats trumpet about? Lack of accountability (just look at all the fiscally bankrupt programs they have in the budget), Lack of responsibility (again, programs that give money without requiring accountability in return), ... It's the party of perpetual adolescence. Again, I wouldn't mind these programs if the people who support them would pay for the programs and their massive overages. But then teenagers don't pay when they smash the family car.
