I believe AOL is at a key juncture. Todays small advance was more an indication of the end of decline, maybe temporary, than of recovery. Many expect some news from Greenspan or the Senate trial to push the market in one direction or another. I really can't find much technical support for a move up except there seems to be a lot of money on the sidelines. One very big negative is that interest rates are creeping up. That is what usually kills bull markets. Even if we are only in a short correction, it could last a month or three. As for AOL, I expect it will be up at least part of the day tomorrow. CNET announced earnings that exceeded estimates by about 80%. But I think that unless the tech stocks show broad strength by the end of this week, you will see a significant market move down next week.
