Nice sentiment Andrew but your logic escapes me. Apple's near death was caused by declining marketshare. Presently, we are riding the crest of developers sentiment that Apple will increase marketshare and so make it worth their while to create software. The numbers I posted indicate how difficult it will be to make slight gains in marketshare. The bottom line is that even though Apple shows good internal growth it's stock price will be measured against overall marketshare gains which are still not by any means in the bank, given the dynamics of the huge number of PCs being sold. I have to agree with you here, Andrew. Unit growth is a net positive for investors especially in light of the margin story. Look at the outsourcing action this way. There will be ~2 million units going into the market at >100% margin with virtually no overhead.

Microsoft will not try to piranha Apple out of business as long as the DOJ has them by the short hairs. Investors are waking up to this and should start to give AAPL a higher PE as soon as the hard sales figures show sustainability.
