Great stuff, Jim. Gotta more ocean breeze smell than bank dank. I also have a wee bit of Rage for banks and their real estate loan shenanigans and "ethics." My billionaire fantasy is to open a Real Bank. God I love that fantasy. I can dream on about it for weeks. >>>>"discount points" seemed a bit too dishonest to me, not only did he wind up paying them, the reality was that the jacked up price on the home, meant he also paid interest on taht so called discount for the full term of the loan, To me taht hot air in the price could be looked at for all practical purposes as the very last thing paid off.<<<< Amen brother, it's absolutely true.

I know a few people who are too honest to play that game, but not many. Scamming is just built in, it seems like, so many do it. For example, health care providers, including doctors, dentists, and chiropractors, really are willing to accept the payments that the insurance company sends, but they send a bigger bill to the insurance company to make sure they get the maximum payment. I have health care providers in my family, so I know the scam from the horse's mouth. Then, a lot of lawyers, with the help of doctors, scam by pretending people are more injured than they really are, for personal injury claims, social security claims, etc. I think the most dishonest branch of law is actually divorce law, that seems to bring out the worst in everyone. Government contractors pad their claims. And let us not forget income tax evasion! Or is that one ok?;^) (No response necessary).
