Again, you ignored the thrust of my post. In any case, he could easily have settled, and the PR damage of ridding himself of "a nuisance suit" would have been minimal.

Looks like the Republicans are now wishing that he had settled it, so that they would not have been able to drag this thing on to themselves!

Sometimes, we say -- "whatever happens, happens for the good!" I sure am glad that Clinton didn't settle that lawsuit! <G>

Oh, please. You butt in about how "ludicrous" my response to some hothead talking about caning in Singapore is. When I respond with substantiation, I'm ignoring the thrust of your post. "He could have easily settled" is quite hypothetical, how in the world do you know? Paula Jones could have easily settled for the same money, too, before all this crap broke.

You can thrust anyway you want, Neocon. Enjoy your smug moral superiority, along with your pompous certainty about the correctness of your conservative dogma. We're stupid, immoral, "incorrect", and you're not. There's not much point in arguing, I'll be leaving this field to the hounds of politics as a blood sport soon enough.
