I don't believe it. I absolutely don't believe it!

Why would he set the bar at $2 billion in 1999. Now if they don't, it will be just one more inaccurate statement by the CEO of the company.

Why can't he stop making predictions?

Jock, I thought you said they were very aware that they needed to downplay expectations. This is downplaying expectations?

Lady E:

It's good to see you back. The 2 billion quote is an extremely optimistic projection. It would mean that LSI will grow revenue 7 percent sequentially for the next three quarters. That is huge. I am wondering what their GM is expected to be. If it's 20%, then their 4 Q earnings will be around 54 cents (after 6 cents amortization). If their GM is at 17%, then their 4Q earnings will be around 45 cents. And going forward, that means that LSI can comfortably look at at least $1.85 a share in '00 with upward revisions possibly to follow. In short, this means that LSI has the potential to hit 50 in less than twelve months. And this time there will be no Gresham delay, and LSI is in the sweet spot in many product lines.

E!

Where have you been hiding? Didn't mean to knock our friend WC (Fields?) but it just seems like he doesn't quite have the finesse that some other CEO's have to get this stock bootstrapped into the stratosphere.<g> I guess I am being too hard on him after all he did get us back up to 25+ from below 11 for a nice profit.

Sometimes we get too impatient....to say the least.

***OT*** Oil service stocks still looking good. Doing some quick trades on SLB, RON and RIG...but only doing real good on SLB. I really should drop everything else and trade that all day long.<g>

RON got a downgrade recently and yet has moved up quite well off the low of 22+. Some rumors floating around about merger with HAL...but then who really knows... but price action indicates something may be up.

Welcome back.
