I do not recall 3com making this statement during this fiasco. I do recall them making about a week prior to this nose dive. And how is it that they can make this statement 2-3 weeks ago and all of sudden they can't comment now because the quarter is a back-loaded quarter?

That is code speak for we botched the quarter (again), but over the long-term we are confident that our business remains intact. 3Com said this a year and a half ago when they were telling the street how they screwed up again. The price of the stock was exactly the same as it is now. Back then Eric Benhamou was on CNBC telling everyone that the fundamentals of the business were just fine, the channel was just a little stuffed.
