P.

I don't believe that WIND are in the business of actually producing a clean room VM ... that's quite a stray for their mainline. My understanding is that "Personal JWorks" is WIND's port of the Sun VM (WIND are Sun licensees) to VxWorks (don't know how many processors its available on). TurboJ is just the AHT compiler. So they are with the Sun camp for now. No other Java compliant, clean room VM was available when WIND started to pay lip service to Java (1 -2 years ago?) by having it in their catalogue.

Now that there is, perhaps they can be persuaded otherwise (JENE) but that depends on how good Insignia is at such persuasion, and pricing etc.

Good idea about Insignia offering some cheap/free RTOS. Wonder if they will.

Any response, Insignia???
