Hi Serge,

<<Even if they do development drilling around this site, I don't think it will amount to a big play.>>

What is your basis for the above comment ?? Are you a geologist familiar and experienced in the San Joaquin Basin ?? The prospect potential has been documented by many and has been shown to be huge.

Just attempting to understand and weigh your opinion.

TIA,
grayhairs

Gotta butt in here Serge. Deep gas plays are high risk, hopefully high reward. The big question will be how big are the reserves. Other factors will help determine how many straws to stick into it. Deep gas drilling is expensive per well (you may not need as many wells as with shallow plays) but ususually what the big cost "to develop" comes from is infrastructure (pipe and plants). Big gas finds are tougher to find nowadays and are usually in undeveloped areas. This is not the case for East Lost Hills, which is very positive for economics. As for the number of players, well, impact on cash flow depends on the size of the find. Smaller companies could potentially double their production, etc. even with a 5% interest.

This, of course, all depends on what is actually there. Too early to tell yet definitively.

Regards, t.

Serge, Without being offensive - what kind of grades did you get in math class. They have a substantial size property and a resource that blew like hell for two months without diminishing.

Think what you like - but look at the money BKP put into the area this week. I suspect they know more than any of us and as a result spoke with money. Now money is what I listen to.

serge - before I read thru the next 40 posts - "negligible effect on cash flow" Do you know the market caps and the cash flow of these smaller players in this. Shares out - need I go on.

EDIT 0 I have now read the next 40 posts. I have followed this since the day it first came to life in a blaze of glory. I am in the business but by no means an expert. I have been up 20 hours now and have my sells in place in my RRSO acct for some LT buys in this play. I have some numbers to crunch before figuring on exactly which one(s) I will buy.

I bought 2k of SOG today and am holding overnight - just flipping stuff,. I am glad you did some more DD on the play and I wish you good luck
