Great find Steve, I think the article is right, if we started trading today we woulda been screwed. Did the VERT IPO actually get off today? Recent internet IPOs are hurting.

After ANYI's meeting with SEC Friday, we should get a clearer picture about when trading could begin. Nobody knows, but I get the feeling it may be a week or two, not 3 or 4. It may not be next week, but that's fine because we want to begin in the post-correction timeframe IMO.

This internet correction is getting close to being over, may take a few more days. I have been avoiding direct internut plays since December. Although I lost out on some profits in January, I'm glad now. I am only playing value plays like BANY, which IMO have less down side than those that have risen 100-1000%. My pledge in December is that I would buy no direct internet play until it lost at least 50% from its highs. Well AMZN accomplished that today, down over 50% from $199. A couple more internuts have a few more dollars to give, then I expect a more sustainable rally, not as furious as the previous one.

Notice the blue chips and Dow are not getting hit that hard, they are catching up, while the nets are giving back from their unheard of highs. Plays like BANY will pan out when trading begins AFTER the correction, but few other internet plays make much sense to me right now.

As more news services pick up bits and pieces about ANYI, we'll get some more cute mentions like the Chicago Tribune today, and interest will continue to build. I still think ANYI's first trading day will not be its biggest. It'll play like MLRE, go up a couple bucks a day, until everyone comes to check it out.

In the meantime BANY will keep chugging along with the cases. CEO Yost plans to have a conference call in a week or so, and if ANYI is not trading yet (and maybe if it is) it'll be a joint BANY/ANYI conference call. If ANYI isn't trading by then (and I get the sense Yost would be tickled pink if it was), the call may attract alot of outside attention.

I'm headed home now to go check out my new doublecase:)

BTW, I know we said we'd stop talking about the thread title and subject heading, but I call bulls@#t. Look at who is the the #1 Hot Subject:

"RFGI Launches Daytrading Internet Brokerage Service" - which was a $2.25 stock yesterday. They launched a thread at 12:00 this afternoon, and with 55 posts they are #1. The stock closed up 422% (was up >500%). They are on the "Short Term Traders" subject area. Oh well, doesn't really matter since this stock gained all that without SI's help, just goes to show the thread doesn't make the stock, or the other way around.

*OT* - ACC ain't nothin
.com, get that weak ACC college basketball s@#$ outta here. The Big Ten is the best this year, and even though I go to alot of Maryland games, there is no comparison. Big Ten will be the first conference to get 8 teams into the NCAAs this year, mark my words.
