These brokerages are not about valuation. They are about trading. If you were a daytrader, which stock would you rather trade? Merill Lynch with 290 million in the float that ticks up or down 1/8th every half hour? Or SIEB, JBOH, MHMY or RFGI that don't have 4 million shares available between them? . . .that can rise or fall at a rate exceeding a dollar a minute. . .and if you are in at 2 dollars, that could be a double every few minutes??? This is speculation not valuation. Frankly, ANY Nasdaq stock that has a float smaller than 1 million shares could be a good buy and hold right now. . . strictly on the assumption that if it can find a way to get in the news and garner the attention of daytraders . . .it could find itself moving from 1 dollar to 30 dollars in 2 days. Again, this has NOTHING to do with investment. I did not get SIEB at 7 because I thought Muriel should be a billionaire someday. . . or because I thought her stock should be selling at 30 bucks or more. I got it because I knew that eventually the weather would be just right for a sudden explosion of trading. Actually, that day came earlier than I had thought. And I never envisioned that every Tom, Dick or Harry brokerage stock with a small float would run right along side it. I happily and casually got out as high as 50. But now that we have seen what CAN be done with these tiny float companies by daytraders. We should all be trying to find more of them. . .especially those with pending news. . .for no other reason than to speculate on them at the bottom, then sell them comfortably at the top. Internet connection is VERY important. That is what this thread is about. So get those stock finder programs going and find a compelling story that cooresponds and let's discuss the potential. 800K to 1 mil float requires a sector move or really big news and internet connection to propel. 500k to 800k could move on news alone with an internet connection. 300k to 500k could fly on any internet connection. Under 300k could fly on no other reason than that it has a small float. OTC stocks do not apply here, as most daytraders are unable to even purchase stocks on the OTC. We, of course, would not instigate a concerted squeeze of such stocks. But rather a speculative swing trade based on the crazy speculative market that we currently have. . . .the church of what's happenin' now. . .as Haines likes to refer to Cramer. One last time for any newbies. . . this strategy has absolutely nothing to do with fundamentals. . .or with investing. It is not for everyone. And there are extreme risks associated with small float stocks and especially thinly traded stocks. So extreme caution is urged. And this is the speculative bubble that I have referred to many times. The one that is within the internet bubble that is within the market bubble. Bubble within a bubble within a bubble. Rande Is
