OT re cynic Have to tell you all this one, speaking of "feelings". 1. I'm sure everyone has heard that in a test given last year U.S. students scored low on the chart in Math but high in "self esteem in Math". Japanese students scored low in "self esteem in Math" but first on the chart for scores. So U.S. students "feel good" but dont know!!!! 2. This was so funny: one of the students I work with (I work with students who have problems in reading, math and writing) came in with a math paper he had to finish. One of the questions was "how do you feel about this paper". He looked at me in exasperation and said "I dont FEEEELLLL a damn thing about this paper. " We both laughed. It was so stupid. Freeus

All, Schools Sorry but I couldn't resist a comment or two on the school issue. I am the product of a Catholic school education ( through college) and a former school board member in our community of 10,000 students. It is much easier to educate kids in a private or home school because you don't have to worry about educating ALL the kids. You can kick a kid out of a private school for just about anything. Public schools can't kick a kid out of school for anything. I do not personally support home school for the restrictions placed on a kid in his education... Oh well just my two cents. zora
