I was referring to AOL demanding that wireless Internet providers like DirecPC & Wavepath open up their internet access to AOL. It is likely that as wireless broadband becomes a more viable & commonplace alternative to broadband access via cable & copper, we would see the same argument raised as the one AOL has raised with cable.

Nevertheless, Armstrong has stated he will open up the pipes. The question, however, is when & what price relative to service provided ATHM. I think what we will see is discounted pricing & extra bundled services if you opt for ATHM v. service by a competing ISP. Armstrong is a free-market kinda guy; and one of the underpinnings of T's corporate strategy is the "one-stop" approach. 'Da man is no fool.
