Thank you CatLady. I've already taken steps to open an account with one of the daytrading brokers on that list. I will not publicly name them. However, and this is a long discussion, these outfits leave a lot to be desired. I maintain that ISLD executions are still better with Datek despite the 20 second server delay handicap. You may disagree. The commission can't be beat with Datek. Datek doesn't suffer from the horrendous clearing house problems that some of these outfits do. And often you have software and feed problems with some of the better known daytrading firms (though I hear good things about Watley). In essence, I do agree with you, that all the advantages of Datek dissapear once you factor in the abominable server problems. That is why I've openened an account with a daytrading broker. However, it's not all roses there either. I guess there are no perfect brokers :) I so wish Datek would solve their problems. They'd be the best.
