DELL vs. GTW vs. IBM. I too was disappointed that DELL did not do as well today but isn't IBM getting ready to split? GTW had an appearance in the analyst meeting today and told how well they were doing. They have positives going for them whereas DELL is still an unknown as far as earnings next week and a possible split and investors are being a little cautious. What has happened to other companies recently after announcing great earnings? What about a split? Look at CSCO. CSCO really bombed out after great earnings. There are too many unknowns regarding DELL between now and Tuesday and that may be holding it back some. Someone asked how DELL reacts after earnings. It goes down without a split. It's like a letdown on Christmas night. It has had a great run and there's nowhere else to go. After announcing a split, until last time, it's gone straight up. Last time though the market was in turmoil and DELL struggled along with all the other techs.
