This looks bad for ATHM, though really only affects the
lines that TCI (soon to be ATT) owns. The other cable
partners (of ATHM) are not affected... However,
if users of TCI/T cable lines got to choose between
ATHM and AOL, if those users were 'savvy', they'd
pick ATHM, which has a much better suite of 'channels'
tuned to the high-speed pipes. However, AOL would
probably narrow/close that gap quickly. very interesting...

I'm beginning to wonder if my money should be moved from
ATHM into both T and AOL...

I just read the full text of Armstrong's speech, and I don't
find the statements regarding allowing AOL, or anyone, to
access the cable lines. The speech was today, at
the national press club. The press release which claims
to quote from this speech has a bad link to the full text,
but I found it elsewhere:

cbs.marketwatch.com

EDIT - ok, I see some comments here:

fast.quote.com

but still not a word about it in the supposed 'actual transcript'.

Yow! The National Press Club got an earful.

Armstrong really let 'er rip ...

A bit fuzzy in places, but no more than the future actually is!
