JMHO..but if you are really planning on holding Dell for any length of time I would not recommend trying to time the bottom right now. I could be wrong but there are so many positives going on the side of the stock right now it's like water being fed into a balloon..at some point it's going to blow and these prices will be a faint memory. Again, just my opinion.

>>I am going to try and time the bottom, and then put the shares away for 10 years

PMFJI, but that makes no sense at all. Take a look at dell's 5 year graph:

quote.yahoo.com

The difference between buying at the top or the bottom 5 years ago would be the difference between a cost basis of .52 and .54. If you are a long termer, dell is a bargain at 93 or 103.

I think I saw this comment here, but it's worth repeating.

Dell cut through the 90's like a hot knife through butta.

01/27 close 88.5
01/28 close 94.1875
01/29 close 100

Dell had to go back and touch third before heading for home.

Now she's a-headin' for home!

I bought more at 95 today and I'm cheering Dell on!

Now 75% of my portfolio.
