Ross is often a guest on such shows. I did not see the show, but will paraphrase what I was told.."Perot was on larry king and Larry mentioned that perot's company had just gone public with a successful IPO. The fact that Perot's company in the 1960's had been started with practically milk money and sold several years later for hundreds of millions of $$ came up. Perot mentioned that this company (PER) is a better firm than the firm in the 1960's was." end of story. I was then told that more than likely, the public would blindly bid the stock up to absurd levels, having done NO due diligence on the company. And guess what happened? And now those people who invested in it, who more than likely don't know the difference between a byte and a bite, a teraflop or a bellyflop, who I bet never even bothered to read the prospectus (available online on the SEC's website) are pissed at Perot because Perot Systems stock went up so much and they overpaid for it. GIVE ME A FUC**** BREAK!!! Do any of you even realize that the entire sector that this company plays in happens to be under severe pressure? Take a look at Keane, Computer Horizons, Sterling Commerce, enterprise software stocks, Computer Task Group. Mr Perot's team is extremely professional in the portrayal of the company and prospects. So I ask you, did you bother to read the prospectus before investing? I think I know the answer...you got home from work, turned on Larry King and you "knew" that people make lots of money on IPO's, right? Stick to cataracts.
