Francios:

Like ebay, SI can't be held responsible for crooks. It is up to the user community to police it.

Like the neighborhood lookout groups in your hometown.

Secondly, not much the companies can do about these guys.

Thirdly, they will create fear, and some will fall for it.

Floydie acts like the SEC is going to announce a shut down. Like he has the inside scoop. Like the SEC is going to forecast their plans to a chat room shorter. hahahahahah!!!!!

Francois,
These guys also seem to come in two's. I noticed on other stock topics you can be cruising along for a good while, passing information around and then boom, in pops someone totally blasting away(sometimes sounding extremely childlike) at the board they've just entered. Are these guys in cahoots or as one poster had put it, possibly the same person. They must have a system to find the biggest movers and then infiltrate. Need to do a little back ground checking here.

Francois - I don't see that these shorter guys have done anything improper, thus far. Even though they're insinuating that SFLK is in danger of having its trading halted, the SEC is smarter than that and doesn't shut down a stock without obvious illegality or imminent harm to the public. I've turned in two companies to the SEC myself and I believe I know how they work. My own feeling is that the company's response to the inquiry was very professional and factual. Certainly SFLK and IBP will be considerably more circumspect in the future.

If these guys' attacks escalate, I'd suggest that the SI webmaster be asked to intervene for the sake of thread decorum. For the moment, though, there's really no problem IMO, and I'd be happy to read anything they come up with that might indicate that SFLK is a poor investment. I don't think it is, but if they prove me wrong, so be it.
