Perhaps we can agree on one point, and that is internet stocks have their own separate valuation whether it is a reasonable one or not. I am strictly interested in the supply and demand of the market and feel that BII is a great way to make some money, but is truly not for the faint of heart. I have yet to lose money on this stock, and have made good profits on it in the 4 times I have traded this stock. Others have been in and out a lot more than me, and likely have made much more money. Remember that for people to make a profit in any stock, someone likely has to lose money.

Happy investing to you all.

P.S.: Hopefully you didn't lose your shirt on Bid.com, and I really hope you didn't lose your pants as well. You either have lost money going long on BII, or are currently shorting it. It is irrelevant to me. At any point in time, any one of us could be right and that's the way it goes.

Regards, Wisam

You are on to something when you focus on barriers to entry. But there is an ongoing debate as to whether the Web lowers or raises them, and if so, how. One argument would be that the strategy you disparage -- investing in market share and brand building -- raises them and therefore is a source of first mover advantage.
