I agree, and i also think it just might take more than an impotent OPEC group to fix it. It was 76 degrees here in Omaha today - normal high is 22 for this date......... OPEC can say all they want, but they have to have adherence.

George: INFLATION!!!

cnnfn.com

No, no, no, this just can't be. Can it? Gee, I thought that it was inevitable that slow world growth was going drag the US economy down into recession, or at least a sharp slowdown. Didn't all the Phd economists tell us that? Didn't John Carpenter tell us that? Well, shiver me timbers, it's looking more and more as if the US is acting as "the engine of growth" for the rest of world and the EXACT OPPOSITE is happening. Anybody expecting a recession in the US this year is stark raving mad! Anybody expecting Asia to slip back into recession is just as bonkers. JMVVHO.

The bond market knows it, the utilities averages know it, I know it, it seems like you know it, Slider definitely knows it, eventually even the oil traders will know it. Dawn WILL come to Marblehead.

Anyway, I'm off to work. I have to work a lot of overtime these days. The reason is that the company I work for is short staffed. The reason it is short staffed is because all over the Southeast there is a chronic labor shortage. Nuff said. Boom shaka laka laka Boom shaka laka laka!

Ta ta for now!
