<< Good question Robert The prevailing wisdom as put out by the republicans is that the public has this short attention span etc. >>

This bad experience of witnessing the Republicans abuse their majority power and totally ignore the public, has caused a bad taste that will last a long time.

I'd like to see an investigation, by the justice department, into this plot against our President. I don't think that it would take too long to find out what was really behind this abuse of power by the Republican House.

OTOH, The Republican Platform will now read "Family Infidelity Values". The Republican Slogan will read "Cheating on one's wife ain't too bad after you receive a standing ovation, for it, from the Republican Party".

The Democrat slogan should be "Who can you trust with majority power?"
