Garter group recently reported (Jan 99) that Notebook population will double in corporate America by year end 2000. Currently 20% of corporate America have notebooks. Meta Group expects 75% of corporate America to have mobile computing by year end 2000. It included in mobile computing palm pilots, hand held pcs, smart phones, specialized computers, etc. Within my company 12 months ago I saw only a hand full of palms. Now every meeting I attend I see someone new with one. That's a lot of batteries......yet to be sold.
