I'm looking at a six month chart. Here is what the otter version of a crystal ball says to me: 1. There is a strong parallel between price, bollinger bands, and stochastics with what happened last October/November. Then, as now price was weak, stochastics were in the pits but with a slight upward tilt. Any movement outside of the bollinger band met with a swift retreat. Then..... movement.

Another way to look at it is that VLSI has been trading in a channel bounded on the low side at around 10 and on the high side at roughly 13 1/2 since late last fall.

So.....???? Time to buy more?

Hi DF, It looks like we have to go pretty far out in the future to get much in the way of premiums. I usually don't sell any Puts or Calls unless I can make about a buck premium net of commissions. Not much room out there.

About as close as I can see is to maybe sell some Put contracts at $10 for April. With my methods I could sell four Apr. $10 Puts and take the change and head out for dinner. Then if mid Apr. rolls around and I end up buying those share, it's not all bad, because I'd buy them anyway at that price. Sort of a Win/Win other than the fact that I'd love to see the share price about 50% higher than that!!!

I'm sure there's others here that have much more experience at options than I. They are just a bit of gravy I get once in a great while. Thanks for bringing it up, however.

Best regards, Tom
