Ice--Of course you're right, it would make no difference whatever. My point isn't that it would make a difference to folks who actually are in that position (folks who lost money), just that I find it interesting that we don't see any (or virtually any) posts from people who admit that the service being down actually SAVED them money, which by definition happened 50% of the time.

And, as I said, E*Trade needs to fix whatever is broken, and I trust is doing or has done that.
