Powerwave Technologies Introduces PCS CDMA Booster Power Amplifier Solution

IRVINE, CALIF. (Feb. 10) BUSINESS WIRE -Feb. 10, 1999--Powerwave Technologies Inc.
(Nasdaq:PWAV) Wednesday announced the introduction of its ultralinear PCS CDMA Booster power amplifier
solution for CDMA base stations in the 1930 to 1990 MHz band.

This product will be demonstrated at CTIA's Wireless '99, February 8th through February 10th, 1999, in New
Orleans. Powerwave is located at Booth No. 6049.

The CDMA Booster solution is targeted for use in PCS CDMA base stations requiring range extension or
improved in-building coverage and supports up to 6 transceivers in sectorized or omni configurations. The
re-amplification of the CDMA signals is made possible by Powerwave's advanced, ultralinear design. The PCS
CDMA Booster also includes a power supply, battery backup, redundancy capabilities, and other options.
