Stephen et. al.: Asian and Latin American demand for vehicles is a major stimulous to demand for zinc through zinc's application in galvanic protection of sheet metal and through production of zinc die-casting for fuel injection throttle bodies. Also, growing production of durable goods such as vehicles leads to increased spending for heavy non-residential structures. My modeling work to predict metals demand shows that such spending is a key "driver" for demand for such as zinc. RH
