Hi Gas, did you ever learn that punctuation is important? You put the comma in the wrong spot in your sign off. The corrected version, follows:

Gas, that big guy. Or Bluegas, that big guy.

The original trial was set for two years. We know FDA wanted more but that XOMA did not have the resources to do a bigger trial for what own its own is a rare disease. The FDA apparently said o.k. but before you can stop gathering data we will need to have at least X mortality in total before we can take a serious look at the results. XOMA apparently felt there was a reasonable probability of getting to the target within the two years. And guess what? They were right! One more month is not a big deal. Management wisely, IMO used this final period of high accruals to reach the target and increase the total number of subjects. Do not do so would have magnified the risk already present and perhaps resulted in even greater cost and delays.

Never mind the punctuation. What is the etymology of this verb? Jazz? Rock? Lumber industry?
