<Let me get this straight. Intel is charging a $500 premium for PIII to do decompression?>

Scumbria, the FUD flowing from your mouth is incredible. You of all people should know about Intel's classic "trickle-down" strategy. First feature the new instructions in the latest-n-greatest. Then filter them down to the mobile market, then to Celeron. If consumers don't want to pay a price premium for the Pentium III now, they can wait about half a year and buy it when the prices are lower.

<I think I will spend the next two days designing a PIII emulation decompression FPGA, sell it for $50 and become rich.>

Good luck with your two-day entrepreneurial adventure.
