In response to the three preceding posts..... First, I don't have an off shore account, and therefore, cannot short a "bb" stock.. Second, I'll refer people to an extensive overview by "The STock Detective" on the problems of paid PR and the pumps perpetrated by "news" letters...It is your prerogative to either read these extensive reports by the stock detective or not....I personally have a major disagreement w. Kevin ie. "the stock detective" over a company I own and like that he has listed as a "stinky stock" so, I always try to look at every source objectively...even sources for stock fraud... Links.... The Stock Detective... stockdetective.com Stock Detective Guide to Pseudo-Research and Other Phony Financial Reports (pay particular attention to the part on good disclosure versus bad disclosure) stockdetective.com The 10 warning signs of a stock scam.. stockdetective.com #2.[Sign} Watch out for promotions disguised as unbiased information! #3. Watch out for obfuscation, confusion and pie-in-the-sky promises! Stock Detective Guide to Pseudo-Research and Phony Financial Reports stockdetective.com Note..Full Disclosure - individual disclaimers for each company profile, including the form and amount of all compensation received by the publisher; meets guidelines established in Section 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933 "..The stock promoters, for the most part, have successfully ignored Section 17(b). Indeed, the SEC has been slow to enforce it, perhaps because the agency's resources have increased at a small fraction of the rate of increase of participants and assets invested in the securities markets...." Specific comments regarding "SuperStocks.net" also also home of the Wall Street Research Group. stockdetective.com "...SuperStocks.net [ superstocks.net ] also is home to the Wall Street Research Group. Together they offer investors a bevy of hype and promotion for companies ranging from B.A.T. International [ stockdetective.com ] to an online gaming company that says it will make its fortune in China. Regardless of the companies SuperStocks.net is touting, the site doesn't tell investors how much it has been paid for its services. Disclosure is vague at best =========================== Now hopefully after reading through the information contained within the links contained above, you'll understand why paid "pr" isn't just advertising. Regarding my motivations? Sorry no white knight here...I'm more of a bull in a china shop of false pieties.... I invest heavily in micro and small cap (including many bb's).....The less than forthright promotions and outright scams unfortunately cast aspersions on all bb- companies....many of these bb's are just companies trying to finance their aspirations..... So yes, I do take offense to the smell emanating from this thread and many of its blessed participants with their platitudes and evasions... Sincerely, ztect (spelling not checked)
