France deserved to win. One good thing, the World Cup winning French team was built up by Gerard Houllier who is now manager of Liverpool. Too bad you never got to Anfield for a game - the crowd singing YOU'LL NEEEEEEEVER WALK ALONE is spine chilling. People like Red and me - in the good old days - would walk to the game, in my case about 4 miles, stand on the terraces in good weather and bad, for about 2 hours before the game, then the game, another two hours, and the walk home. That was dedication.
