13,000 employee assumption - reminds me of the GM effort in 1984 -
I hope Systemhouse customers embrace EDS. They should as Systemhouse has lost some of its shine. The outsource deal with MCI WorldCom is a perfect match for EDS skillset and EDS should easily be able to get the targeted savings plus good profit margins on this scope of work. You know it looks like its going to be Bernie and Dick versus Mike and Lew (MCI/Worldcom/EDS versus AT&T/IBM) for all the remaining big deals worldwide. Major corporations will be told by their consultants that there will be at least two competent bidders for outsourcing their Communications and IT infrastructures. This looks good for both players.
