I spent all of December on a rig that was drilling 1 foot/hr for the entire month - that's 0.3 m/hr - and that was in sands the entire time.
I have also been on rigs in Alberta that have drilled 10m/minute.

You're right, it can vary wildly.

Hopefully, these guys have learned from Bellvue #1, and should be able to better select their drill bits to optimize performance in the particular formation they are drilling at any given time.
It is my understanding that there is mostly shale between their current position and the Temblor.
We are probably looking at 30-45 days to reach the Temblor.
