To ensure security of core, all boxes are kept for the "full length" of a single hole. Only sections that are mineralized are boxed and shipped, the remainder of the core is disgarded. So the first box holding 100 feet may hold the core from 400 feet of drill hole. Sections are cut out from full lengths so that if the entire 500 metres is intemittently mineralized, a box may hold samples from 01 to 16 feet then 35 to 60 feet etc etc etc.

Companies don't pay to assay dirt or unmineralized material.....pyrite comes to mind.....no need to assay it...cuz
