Jim: Nm mitigates the membership fee in two ways. First: They offer the lower (member) prices free for a two month trial period. I don't see how they make any money on these sales, but perhaps there is value in boosting their membership #'s. Secondly, upon payment of the membership fee, they mail a free long distance phone card, worth $75.00. I think the fee is $70.00, but I haven't been billed by them yet. They also have a 135% best price guarantee. I don't know how one documents the lower price or their performance in standing by their word, but it sounds pretty attractive to me as a consumer. As an investor...who knows?? I guess it will be another earnings based turnaround story if successful. MV
