You're right, O'Reilly is doing the talking - I think there is something big brewing and Cowpland is smart enough to keep his mouth completely shut (perhaps with a little urging from the rest of the dudes ).
Remember when he was kind of quiet about Netwinder , a week or two before the earnings release....
Remember his low key comment during the earnings conference -"the numbers speak for themselves " period .That is completely out of character - something is in the works, Guaranteed.

Corel adopts poison pill
By JILL VARDY
The Financial Post
.....Mr. Cowpland said he has not recently spoken to anyone from Adobe.

But Corel sources say he met with Adobe officials as recently as last September. The two companies have collaborated before on such issues as software standards for the graphics industry.

The Corel CEO said yesterday he doubts the rumours Adobe wants to buy Corel.

"I personally don't think so because we've got two separate businesses both of which are kind of independent. It would not be a simple thing for any one company to handle," he said.

"At the same time the share price is way up compared to what it was. I think we were very vulnerable when the share price was in the dollar range but we've come a long way since then."
