Palm III X (don't mention the stock price)

vinod Khurana wrote about CBS this morning:

" 3COM palm pilots and Palm III were selling like hotcakes
. The price had dropped by 50% over the last week
. The Palm III X to be released in June/July will have a MSRP of $800 but that price is expected to drop by mid-2000. It will be a wireless device capable of receiving and transmitting RF data.
"

Surely, you mean that the Palm VII (the wireless unit that was announced back in December for delivery mid-year) would be $800.

I imagine that the Palm IIIx will have similar pricing to the Palm III that it just pushed down in the product line. That's the reason for the price cut on the Palm III and Palm Pro last week, right?

"The review was excellent. The two hosts were in a battle to gain possession of the Palm VII. Bottom line: Every Tom, Dick and Harry will want one of these devices..... it's almost like interest in this product is similar to FURBIE....only for the busy adult."

I'm wondering if I'd like the wireless bill for the Palm VII... but I love my current Pilot, and my wife the Food Editor wouldn't be without her Palm Pro with Palm III upgrade... and she reports that she sees more Palm III's carried by the public relations people she deals with each time she meets one for lunch. How come you don't have one yet?

If every whiner on the thread buys two Palm III's, will that put the stock price up? Well, I guess we'll wait for earnings, then.
